I cannot believe it, school is almost over for 2009! I only have 4 full days of classes and finals and I'm outta here! I can't wait til Christmas break and time off! School is school, we all know that routine and how sickening it can become. I love what I'm doing, don't get me wrong. It just gets a little overwhelming sometimes. Well, to what I care most about, The PURPLE and GOLD!
Wow, what a big couple of games for us! We showed our might and that we are an elite team in the league. Yes, their our those out there who will disregard what we've done and I say let them. Our actions speak for themselves. It's a proud day to be a Viking!
This is a couple weeks late, but I'm sure gald Mauer Power came through for us! The MVP award was his this year, and the voting showed that. I just hope we can sign him for an extended period of time. Hes important to our future.
I just gave a tour today to my sister and her friends. It's so wierd to see her out looking at schools! I feel so old! She's really interested in MSUM, which is good, but I can't believe this time is here! Life goes by faster every year, I swear.
Its official, I'm going to Germany this summer! I can't wait! Its gonna be hard, I will miss a few major events this year, but its an once in a lifetime opportunity to go and I don't think I can turn it down. I hope it all goes well going up to this trip.
Well, back to work.

Me a TV Star?!?!
Guten Abend,
Its good to be back with you! I in a good mood, for some unknown reason. I'm at work, entering data, and have a research paper due tomorrow, where is the joy in any of that!
I guess today went well. I will be on TV tonight, thats cool! I was giving a tour and when we entered the Wellness Center, their was my boss, a camera crew, and a local reporter! They taped me giving a tour through the building! They interviewed my guest for about five minutes and were off! I can't wait to get out and watch it!
The research paper tomorrow shouldn't be a big deal. i have some of it written and I only have to write about 5-6 pages total, so thats not to bad.
Time to get back to work,

I'm happy with the Trade the Twins made, trading Carlos Gomez for J.J. Hardy. We needed a shortstop for the future and we had an extra outfield, solving both issues. Gomez will be missed by many though, including myself. he was one of the fastest men in the outfield and his defensive play will be missed. Good Luck and God bless you Go-Go!
Now to my favorite team, The Purple and Gold! This weekend should not be a major test for them, its the Lions. I do not expect a blowout: the games in the division are usually close. i just hope we can continue to rest Winfield and maybe get Jackson in for a few snaps. we need to start looking toward the playoffs after this past past weeks' events. We need to rest who we can when we can to have them more ready for that playoff push. One gane at a time, we can do great things!
Deer Hunting didn't go very well this weekend. I didn't see a buck big enough to shot, I didn't see many of them at all for that matter. i only shot at a doe, which I missed. I will have "limited action" this weekend due to my invovlement in a colunteer program on Saturday, so I really only have one full day. I better get busy!

Numero Uno!
Guten Abend,
I'm finally in a dead week! No homework, no test (after today), no project, no nothing due!
YES!
Tonight I can finally get ahead, that is if I feel like it and not just taking a break. This has been a wild last two days for me, I have to say!
That game was awesome! I will not soon, if ever forget it! We are in the driver seat in the NFC North and aren't showing any sign of letting it go. By not means is it without a doubt ours (I have seen major implosions of my favorite team before), but we should win this division with little to no problems. 7-1 is not too bad!
We needed the by this weekend, Winfield needs to heal, Harvin needs a break, Hutchinson's back could use it, Peterson's ankle could use a break, Berrian needs a break, and last and not least, Favre's 40 year old arm could use a rest! I think I need the break too! I have never been so nervous before games, and during, as I have been this year. Time to cool down!

You can't expect me to not talk about the Vikings game!

Secondly, My job "title" may be changing in a BIG way! I don't know a lot about it and what's going down, but it will change a lot. I just hope I can still give campus tors!
Otherwise, classes are going well. I'm glad there is nothing for me to do and nothing to be done this week. I needed this "break" to get ahead of myself and get some stuff done. I have a paper to write by the end of the year, a book to read and other assignments I can do.
I had a good Halloween; I dressed up as Hugh Hefner (sp). No candy, but a good time!
Lastly, DEER HUNTING IS COMING UP! I can't wait to get out in the woods and get the "tirty-pointer!" Just spent over a hundred dollars on new gear, which really stinks, but its all worth it!
Well, I better get back to work!

A "Blah" Stretch
What to write about, let's see.
I have had the last two days off of german class, that is a nice break to get. i have to go tomorrow, which means I have homework to do tonight, AHHH! It should be quick though.
I think I'm going out to buy my costume for Saturday, i don't really know what I'm gonna be though....
I have to say I'm happy with the outcome of the Vikings game this weekend. We lost, but very well could have won. I do realize that we should have lost a couple games this year already, so it just caught up on us this weekend. I'm looking forward to the game on Sunday @ Green Bay! I really have a feeling they will win this game. its important to us for the rest of the season and I think Favre will come out big!
I'm glad I got a 100% on a major project i recently handed in, I needed it. I didn't do so hot on the Midterm and needed a good grade on it to help dig my self out of the hole I made for myself.
I had to get a tetunus shot on Friday due to a cut I recieved at work. It didn't hurt too bad, but it was on rusty metal so... a shot was for the best. it hurt so bad, I had trouble sleeping because of it! I should have a pretty awesome scar from it, so that is good!
I can't wait until deerhunting, it is just around the corner! I have been shut out the last couple years so I think my time is over due. I just hope i can beat my brother this year, he seems to always get a nice one!
I went to a grosthunter last Tuesday that was on campus, it was pretty cool. He talked about all of his past experiences and showed us some of his EVP's and videos. I'm glad i gave up the time to do that. I do believe in ghost, so it was cool to see what he has to show as a ghosthunter.
Otherwise, I'm just trying to get through, Midterm is officially over, but not the exams. i have a POL SCI test on Friday, as well as a WWI test on Thursday! No rest for the wiery I guess!

Good Week
Guten Abend (Good Evening),
As you can see by the picture, I WAS AT THE VIKINGS GAME THIS WEEKEND! It was such a good time. It was the most exciting/ nervious experience I have had during a game in person.
Midterm has come and gone the last couple weeks. It has been a VERY busy couple of weeks. I just finished my german test today, it went well, I hope! I handed in a major 32 PAGE project for my SPED 320 class on Monday, and soon I will start on my volunteer work for that class. I get the plessure of working with students in need and help them with whatever I'm assignment to do. I can't wait!
To make my life better, in one of my history classes, we banded together and talked the professor in pushing back our review assignment due date! One more test this week and two more next and I'm in the clear for a few weeks!
Let's go Vikings against the Steelers, we need you Winfield!
Stay Classy and,

BLEEDING PURPLE AND GOLD!!!!!
Packers here we come! I have been waiting for this week for a long time! On Monday, the Vikings and Packers square off on PRIMETIME! That play to end the game on Sunday was amazing! I haven't seen a Viking QB do that for years.
I'm not ignorant and am not in the crowd that believes a title is in our near future, but I do not rule out the possibility. IF we fix the minor problems in pass protection and miscommunication, we can do a lot! Enough about the Vikes.
How about those Twins! As I type they are in their second of two games today, winning the first! This year has been a roller coaster, to put it lightly, and I can't get enough of it. This final week of Twins Baseball in the dome will be a Good One!
For those of you who don't care about the Twins or Vikes....
School has been great! German is tough, but a lot of fun. I have had a lot of trouble in helping in another history reaction game. It is totally foreign information for we and the game rules are difficult to work with.
Otherwise, life is great. I'm enjoying working on the Rockwall and in the admissions. Just getting over a cold from this weekend, so that isn't fun.
I've been newly appointed as "Sergeant at Arms" of the History Club, lol! It is a position of power with few responsibilities, but requires full participation. I work with a good group of friends in the club and think this should be a lot of fun.
Well, I suppose it’s time to go. Stay Classy, and

I'm Back!! Tips for a Successful College Experience
Hey Everyone,
I'm back in school now, and have been here for a few weeks now. As I think about starting my third fall here at MSUM, I came up with a few things for you (future college students) to think about and try when you attend a school in the coming years. Now, before I tell you these things, realize they may not be easy to do, but are vital to having a good first semester.

Now, before I tell you these things, realize they may not be easy to do, but are vital to having a good first semester.
- Use your time wisely. I realize many of these tips, including this one, you have heard over and over. Even so, in college you are EXPECTED to get your work done on time! Most professors in college are not nearly as easy to deal with high school teachers.
- BE READY TO START RIGHT AWAY!- I know that isn't the most favorable thing to do right off the bat, but if you want to have a successful year, this is important.
- I will also advise you to do projects and paper as early as possible. Many people have them build up due to procrastination and leave things until the end of the semester. This forces students to either have a nervous breakdown or spend many late nights catching up.
- Lastly, be ready to enjoy yourself! College is about gaining a knowledge of a lifetime, but that doesn't just include an academic one. Meet new people, see new things, visit new places! This is the biggest tip I can give you now. Just remember when you are buried in you notes before your final exams that college is about ENJOYMENT over everything else!

School is Almost Here!
Hey everyone, long time, no see. School is just around the corner and I'm excited for it. I know after a couple weeks, I will be hoping for summer once more, but I'm wishing to start back up soon. It has been a busy summer for. I work in construction and build grain bins. This job is a prefect summer job, but by this time in the summer, I'm ready to get done with this and back to school. I figured before school starts up again I would check in to let you all know how this summer has been going. During the 4th of July, I went tubing where I got sun burnt so bad I was unable to do much for a week. I will never put my self through that. If I can tell you one thing, where sunscreen, it is worth it, lol! I don't wish that pain on anyone. Moved into our new place and I'm happy about it. We have awesome wireless and direct tv, so I'm happy. I can't forget to mention we own a 50" tv as well. "Go Vikes" on the big screen! Speaking of the Vikes, I was more than a little upset about the Favre situation. It sounded so positive for so long, and than we were totally surprised by his commitment to retirement. Now, in my opinion, our only hope is J.D. Booty. we need to hope, somehow, that he can be like a Matt Cassel and come out of nowhere and be our savour. Well, time for me to go and see you in a few weeks. Lastly, Stay Classy!

Favre in Purple?
I have to spout off again on the Vikings! With the talk of Favre's release by the Jets, my hopes are once again high for the Vikings. I hate this feeling though. I get so pumped up about possibilities for improving our sports teams (Vikings, Twins, Wolves) and are let down most of the time. I don't even know if I want Favre here. It will never happen, but I can't help but to think about this. I really think that if we were to pick up Favre, and he stays healthy, we WILL seriously competing for the Super Bowl. Now about my day at school.
Classes are going well. Today was our last day with the alternative students from the RRALC. It was very fun and I'm glad to have done it. Every student we worked with seemed to truly enjoy the time with us and I feel we did good for them. As good as it is going, I can't wait until may 15th. I have had enough school and tests and notes. Stay Classy!

Hey Ya'll, hows life treating you? Its been pretty good for me as of late. I'm excited about the chances of the Vikings again this year, but with caution closely following behind. I feel we drafted well, if Harvin turns his life around, and like our free agent signings. Now I go into the upcoming season with the same exact question as last year. "Will our quarterback be good enough to compete at a high level, if not for the Super Bowl?" I don't feel T-Jack is the answer. I'm hopeful Rosenfels can be like Trent Dilfer during his time with the Ravens by leading the team to the Super Bowl by not making mistakes that will lose the game and protecting an outstanding defence. I do realize that every year, the Vikings find a way to let us down somehow, but a guy can hope, can't he? Enough about that, on to school.
Classes are going very well, everything is starting to wrap up and final projects and papers are all due soon. that means a tiny break for this week, YES! We only have 2 weeks of classes left! Gov in Crisis is now done for me, after the final speech yesterday. I have to say I will miss this class. Any one reading this, if you can take this class, DO IT! It is well worth the work and money. Well, time to go, Stay Classy!

School is starting finish up for this semester so it is getting a little more stressful and demanding.
Making this process worse, I caught a cold Sunday night, amking the beginning of this week horrible. I have started to "go down hill" with my cold, but I'm still not 100%. The Student Academic Conference was Yesterday and I presented a speech about early American educational advocates, including Jefferson and Franklin. This coming weekend will be a busy one for me, I need to write a paper or two, start writing a poem, and read a few chapters to start the poem. Tomorrow and friday I will be helping interview prospective Admissions members for next fall, which should be a quite interesting process to take part in. It will be cool to give a "yes" or "no" to someone for once after years of that being given to me for years. Away from school for a second, I hope this D-1 hockey team happens for us! It would be sweet to have that at MSUM! Well, Stay Classy!

The Pressure is Off!!!!
Wow, what a week, or Wednesday for that matter! The French Revolution is Over, resulting in my death, again, and the Apprenticeship scholarship was due today.I couldn't believe how stressful it was to put the scholarship together. I am glad, either way if I get it or not, that the process is over and it has been submitted! One major stress is gone! Yes, I was killed in Gov in Crisis again. With one day left at that! The projected flood crest is expected to much lower than first estimated which is a plus as well. I will finally get trained on Friday in to work the rock wall at the wellness center. I have been waiting for this for months. The rock wall should be a good and exciting experience for me! Well, off to work, Stay Classy!

Crazy Wednesday!
Good to be back people! My Governments in Crisis class was crazy today! We were told at the beginning of this class, the French Revolution was nuts, but I wasn't ready for this. Things are not going my way at all. Nothing is really getting done. My Alternative Students project was today as well, and that went really well. The students liked our theater games we decided on, including strange superheros, one word sentences, and more. I was nervous for the experience, but I was glad it went the way it did. The students were nervous as well ,but they came around and felt more comfortable just as we did. I'm glad the Twins are back on! The Monday game was disappointing but last night's was awesome. The 9th inning rally was just what we needed to start the season. Hope this keeps up and we can continue this and have a good season! Well, time for me to go, Stay Classy!

An Unbelievable Experience!
Wow! That is all I can say about the last few weeks. We have been out for the past 3 weeks now, missing two full weeks of classes! This is all due to the Flood of 2009, and its not even over yet. They expect it to crest again at or above the record level it reached earlier this spring (about a week ago). It is truly amazing to think about what has come about from this whole situation. So many people have shown up to help with this whole deal. The number of volunteers was astronomical. I will never forget the goods times I had with total strangers "on the dikes." Most everyone was in a good mood, even with the river mere feet from their homes. Food was plentiful, people were friendly and energetic, and most of all, they came in huge numbers. People from all over showed up to help. I hear of people from California, Nashville, and everywhere in between. They say we filled enough sandbags to completely go around the Empire State Building! With all the bad things that came out of this flood, I think the best things that came out of was truly AWESOME this community and the nation really is. Besides, now they can't say my generation is lazy and selfish, because as they have been saying from the start, the college students saved Fargo-Moorhead! Well, back to work for me, Stay Classy!

Flood 2009!
Its been awhile, but I'm back! Long couple weeks behind me now. Spring Break came and went like that with little to talk about. All i really did was chop wood for my family and relax and take a break from the year of school. Nothing special happened in my life since the last posting, except I'm no longer a teen, yes I'm now 20! It came with a little fear though, with the local rivers in flood stage and expected to crest at new record highs. I've been out sandbagging the last couple day, and it is starting to caught up with my body. it was really hard to get out of bed this morning, let alone come to work. i do still plan to get back out sandbagging after I'm done with work. School has been cancelled the last couple days because of this situation, and who knows what the future holds. I feel the sandbagging is going well, amny students have shown up to help. It really speaks for how committed the student body is to this cause. The crest will come on Thursday and we are all waiting to see if we are ready for it. Let us hope we are. Well stay safe and stay classy!

Snowed In!
The last two days have been fun! We have got like 10 to 15 inches of snow and white out conditions the last 2 days. I love how the week before spring break is one of the snowiest of the year. It killed many of our hopes of a warm dry spring, lol! What a way to leave school as well, going to Mexico or Florida with 80's and leaving behind 20's and a foot of snow! Now off to good news. spring break here I come! A week of nothing but relaxing and no school work, just what the doctor ordered. I may have some odds and ends of projects and writings to do, but for the most part, nothing. One draw back is I may have to do some house work, including cutting wood for next year. Locked myself out of my car on Monday at Biolife, cost me $40. I can't believe it's that much for a two minute jimmy of the door. We cancelled the meeting with the Alternative School today, because of the weather, more time to prepare I guess. Well, time to go, Stay Classy!

Bust Week Ahead!
It is time for Midterms, and I lucked out this year! No tests but 4 papers due by next Friday, none of them less than 5 pages in length! Enough venting. Really getting nervous about the RRLC teaching we will we doing. The RRLC (Red River Learning Center) is the local alternative school for students who need that little extra help. We will be doing a project with them in which we, college students, teach them certain art forms, including poetry, theater games, and painting. We work with the students in 5 one hour sessions, working on these projects. I am a little nervous on how it is going to go, but I have a strong optimism it is going to go well. We will be teaching inprov or theater games, which should be a blast! I think it will go well. On a more positive note, I cannot wait until the movie "I Love You Man" comes out. It looks funny. If it is anything like "Forgetting sarah Marshall," it should be good. Counting down the days until the wellness center opens up, from what I have heard it is March 23! Can't wait! Well, back to work, Stay classy!

Revolution!
We start the French Revolution game in my history class on Monday, and I can't wait to start it. I recieved a very interesting part in the revolution: the faction know as feuillant. We are a group of compromise, wishing to set up a Constitutional Monarchy. Yes ,some of you may be thinking, "blah, blah, blah, why do I care?" but it is really fun to learn history this way. You are a part of it, not just listening to accounts of it. Spring Break is only a couple weeks away and I can't wait to get there. I have no major plans, but a break from school is truly needed. I hope It goes by slow, so I can enjoy it while its there, but I'm sure it won't. One thing that is bad about Spring Break coming up is that it is also Midterm time. I lucked out this emester with few test to take, but the paper i have to write totally ruin any good that come out of it. I can't wait until May 15th, becuase I know then that I am free from school for at least a few months! Stay classy!

My Big Trip
The biggest thing of my day has to be our trip to the local alternative school. I was amazed at the condition of it. The students were great! Each one was friendly and had their own special abilities and quarks, which made each very interesting. The one kid was an amazing poet, making a few of the students cry from his poem about his ex-girlfriend that passed away right after writing it. it was kind of surprising to find such a gem in a school like that. Now to the school, I can't believe that building is a school. From the outside, you wouldn't have any idea that it was a school. I t looks like an office building. It must have been at one point, because of two garage doors on one side. The classes are tiny and inadequately supplied. It is sad to me to see students in conditions like that. They fight through it though, proving how important it is to have good teachers and not just good surroundings.

We in the Admissions office got a special sneak peek at the new Wellness Center they are building, and it is awesome! There are going to be so many cool things for our students to use. Its open 18 hours a day (for the most part), so you can basically use it whenever you want to. the equipment is top the line stuff, in my opinion, and most of them have tv's on them. You can want whatever you want in privacy! The rock wall will be awesome as well. I plan to sign up for that as soon as I can! It is very "sexy" looking as well. it is going to be awesome to use this for the years to come. We have to have one of the best wellness centers around, for the size of our school. Any future students out there reading this, you have to see it, you will fall in love with it, lol!
Classes are going well i guess. Almost done with the Ming China game in Governments in crisis. It is really interesting to see how they ran their government, being so different from ours. This class is really a new way of learning about history. It puts you into their shoes and your not just sitting in a desk and taking notes. You are forced to get involved! I would highly recommend this class to anyone needing to fill our dragon core, you will enjoy it. Well, it time for me to go. I will leave you with my favorite Ron Burgundy quote, as i always do,
Stay Classy!

A Little Time to Breathe!
This week has been a much needed week off, well for the most part anyway. No tests is what I needed to take a step back and get work down. I really wis hthis cold weather would go away. We got into another cold snap today, with temperatures below 0. We are starting a new program here in the admissions office. We are going to start texting students to find out if they would prefer that, email, or phone calls. I have never heard of using this as a way of communicating with students, so it seems quite interesting to me. I went out for Valentine's Day with my Girlfriend this weekend, and wow was it busy. We waited in line for 45 minutes, and it was Friday! It worked out good for me though, she got the gifts she wanted and I got what I wanted: a power tool! Classes are going well. We're about to start going to the local alternative school for my education class. I am a little worried about how this will go and how well these students will interact with us. I know it will be a great opportunity to see another type of school that I never had to be with in my home town. I went to the Darius Rucker concert at the local casino, and it was great! He put on a good show and I even got his autograph! Well, time to go. Stay Classy!

Work Overload!
I have to say, I cannot wait until this week is over. From my exams, to the papers I have to do for Friday, it is gonna be a long week. I need a break from all school already, lol! I don't understand how some people can take 20 credits, it would be just too much! To get on a better subject, this rainy, sloppy weather is a little old. I can't wait until Spring finally comes and all the snow is gone. I have to say it is pretty funny to see people walking around with T-shirts when it in the 40's after a cold snap, lol. V-day should be good for me. My girlfriend and I are going out to eat and to see a movie. Sounds like I'm getting a power tool as my gift!!! I can't wait until the 15th as well. I am eligible for getting a new phone. My current one has been through a lot and was worth every penny, but it is time to move on and upgrade. Looking at a chocolate 3!!! Last week I attended the "Dream Alive" program about the great Martin Luther King Jr. It was unbelievable good! His "I have a dream" speech reinactment was outstanding. Well time to go, Stay classy!

Killed in Class!
Today was the final day of our Athens game in my Government in Crisis, and what a final it was! i came into this class period thinking I had this game licked, but my professor totally affected the outcome, against what I wished for. I ended up being poisoned on my way back from Sparta, lol? Otherwise, classes are going well, but the assignments are none stop. I already need a break, but it isn't coming anytime soon. My work in the Admissions Office is going great! I love giving tours and helping student decide on attending our school, or going to another. It is such a cool feeling have just given a tour to a student you know is psyched about going to school here. That is why I do this job. I have also been busy with my attempt to receive the Apprenticeship Scholarship our school heads out each year. There are a few given out in the university, worth $5,000 a year for two years! Going into the teaching profession, it would be a big plus to get this scholarship to help lower my debt. Well, its time for me to go, Adios amigos, and stay classy!

Yes, January is finally over, just February, March April, and May to go! this has been a very busy week so far for we with our raping up in Government in, Crisis and starting on the Ming China game, my journal due for AMCS class today, and another papper to write. I wish the groundhog would finally not see his shadow, for once, so we would have to deal with this terrible cold winter weather. all of this just makes me count down the day until summer even more! I am, for totally unknown reasons, thinking about summer classes to get soe of my requirements done online, but we'll see how far I go with that, lol! Well, back to work for me, tty all later.

Wow, what a semester this is going to be. After getting a full view of how this semester is going to be, I realized just how much I LOVE summer, lol! I wish this cold weather would just go away. The only positive thing that come from it was I was on Good Morning America. Yes, that second long clip was of my buddy Nate and I, lol. I think I'm gonna enjoy my Governments in Crisis class. In the class, we are put into a "game" about one of the major governmental turning points in human history. Currently we are playing the 404 B.C.E. Athens game. I was given the rich and spoiled Socratic son of a rich official. Well, time to go. Until the next time, stay classy!

Back at the Grind!
Hey Everyone,
Here at MSUM we're all back in classes. I have to say I was really looking forward to getting back to school, being bored out of my mind doing nothing at home. After the first day, that feeling of boring disappeared into dread about my coming semester. I truly underestimated the benefits of being on break! Just in my first 3 classes of the semester, I have a lot of reading and many LONG papers to write. All I have to say is I'm counting the day until finals are over. Book report here I come!!!
